With reference to correspondence resting with my
telegram No. 1081 of 18th June, 1947, I have the honour to submit for
the signification of His Majesty's pleasure the following Ordinance
intituled:

"An Ordinance to make provision for the cessation of
the emergency status attaching to certain companies
registered under the Companies Ordinance, 1932, or
incorporated under any other Ordinance of the Colony".
An explanatory report by the Attorney General showing
the reasons and occasion for passing the Ordinance is also enclosed,
together with a statement that in his opinion assent may properly
be given.

I take this opportunity of forwarding for your information
copies of the Law Amendment (Transitional Provisions) Schedule I
Amendment Order and of the Law Amendment (Transitional Provisions)
Schedule I Amendment (No. 2) Order which were published as Gazette
Notifications Nos. 468 of 13th June, 1947, and 509 of 27th June, 1947,
respectively.
